Westmalle Trappist is brewed in the Abbey of Westmalle and is the oldest Trappist beer in the world. The tradition goes back generations.
Challenge
For its December gift packs, drinks specialist Wauters Hulst wanted to give customers more than just beer. Anyone who bought a Westmalle pack should also get an experience with it: the history of the beer and how to taste it.
Solution
Together with beer sommelier Henri Reuchlin, we made 2 videos:
- The story of Westmalle: Henri talks about the history and tradition of the oldest Trappist beer in the world.
- A beer tasting: Henri tastes the Westmalle beers and explains what makes them special.
The gift packs in the shop carried a QR code. That took buyers straight to the videos so they could taste along at home.
Result
2 videos that let you see and taste the Westmalle tradition. Together they have been viewed more than 2,100 times.
