Aftermovies
An aftermovie captures the atmosphere and the proof of an event, collaboration or moment. It’s also known as a recap video or mood video. An aftermovie can be made in either vertical or horizontal format, depending on where the video will be published.

Why aftermovies work
An aftermovie shows that something really happened, with people, atmosphere and results on screen. That works as proof for future clients or partners who are unsure whether to work with you. But the name gives it away: it usually comes afterwards. That’s why I don’t believe in an aftermovie on its own. It’s better to also look at how you can create video content for the next edition of an event or conference, so you can promote the following editions as well.
Examples of aftermovies
Example: after an event or collaboration, an organisation shows in 1 to 2 minutes who was there, what happened and what it achieved. This kind of video is often reused in presentations and on social media, long after the event itself.
